"May the 4th be with you." - A phrase that has been repeated all day today by those who have traversed the galaxy along side Han, Luke, Leia and Chewie. It means that people dust off their lightsabers and don their stormtrooper outfits to celebrate Star Wars Day, some have even arranged an plan to attend a DVD night this evening to watch the latest Star Wars film and have a takeaway. We hope they enjoy the movie and they "Live Long and Prosper"
May Day Bank Holiday - There is a lot of excitement about the possibility of a day away from Steve on Monday, who has been playing Talk sport all this week from the office radio very loudly and locked himself away to do very "serious" and "important" work this week.
People have been cheering when the topic of Parchment being closed on Monday comes up. A few people have mentioned that lots of bikes appear on Monday on Hastings seafront as well as Jack in the Green, though not the same Jack that does Fun with Jack.
The Sun is Out - which means sun cream, large bottles of water and plastic cups, shorts and venturing outdoors for walks and other physical activities. The sun has brought with it warmer weather and the ability to plan going outside for a few hours at least each day and the ability to plan a few days ahead, much to the annoyance of some staff and some of the guys, who prefer the wetter and greyer weather, but it does meant that while the majority of people brave the +10 degrees and bathe in sun cream, the building itself becomes quieter and peaceful.
A "selfie" of Liane
Liane has been with a little while now and begun to show us her "true colours" as she settles and gets used to her role with us. One of her talents that has very quickly emerged is the ability to take selfies (a camera on an iPad or mobile phone that takes a photo of the holder and those around)
Liane has teaching some of the guys and has even attempted to get Steve to take some, though these photos very quickly disappeared and Steve has denied that it ever happened.
