The Parchment Trust Co-operative was set up in 1994 to provide creative and innovative day opportunities for young people with learning difficulties. As the name suggests, the scheme operates as a Co-operative, with the service users having as much say as possible both on a day-to-day basis and in longer term planning.
Dedicated and Bespoke Services
These schemes are specifically designed packages of day support for people with profound and multiple disabilities, using the skills of one and often two carers, depending on the needs of the individual.
The Friary Gardeners
Originally established in Winchelsea in 1988, Friary Gardeners has been based at Ore Place Farm since early 1995. This attractive two-acre site was derelict but is now fully operational and is continuously being developed and improved. The gardens, although secluded, are conveniently located just off the Ridge and are easily accessible to service users by both private and public transport. St Helen’s Woods are adjacent to the site.
